Powerlifters Rehab Ahmed & Sherif Othman Win Silver at Paralympics
Rehab Ahmed Radwan and Sherif Othman continue a personal and national legacy of dominance at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics, having earned Egypt's first pair of silver medals this year.
Egypt has secured their first pair of silver medals at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games as Rehab Ahmed Radwan and Sherif Othman continue a national and personal legacy of dominance in the powerlifting event.
Othman adds his silver medal in the men's -56 kg category to his streak of Olympic gold medals, which he earned at 2016 Rio, 2012 London and 2008 Beijing. Radwan previously earned a silver medal at 2016 Rio where she lifted 104 kg in the women's -50 kg, and won the gold medal at the women's 50 kg event at both the 2017 World Championships and the 2019 World Championships.
