President El-Sisi Allocated EGP 10 Billion to Differently-Abled Fund
The fund aims to offer support for people with special needs across Egypt.
President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi announced that around EGP 10 billion will be allocated to the national Differently-Abled Fund, which aims to support people with special needs across Egypt.
The announcement was made during the fifth edition of the ‘Differently-Abled’ ceremony, which took place at the Al-Manar International Convention Centre in New Cairo. Organized by the Ministry of Social Solidarity, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the Egyptian Sports Federation for Intellectual Disabilities, the event showcased a documentary that highlighted the challenges people with special needs face in Egypt, and the achievements they have accomplished in sports so far.
The Differently-Abled Fund aims to empower people with special needs by integrating them into national projects, initiatives, as well as artistic and cultural works. The fund also offers athletes with special needs various programs and activities, aiming to improve their physical fitness and sports skills.
