Saudi International Handicrafts Week Grows Global Presence in Riyadh
Riyadh’s largest craft event brings together artisans from 40 countries, celebrating traditional heritage and modern design.
Participants from more than 40 countries will take part in the third edition of Saudi International Handicrafts Week (Banan), running from November 13th to the 26th in Riyadh. The event will feature over 400 local artisans and more than 20 institutional partners, highlighting traditional craftsmanship from Saudi Arabia and beyond.
Held under the patronage of Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Minister of Culture and Chairman of the Heritage Commission, this year’s edition aims to showcase the diversity of handicrafts and support their modern revival. Last year’s edition drew more than 200,000 visitors and generated over SAR 2.5 million in sales.
The programme will include live craft demonstrations, specialised workshops, and exhibitions across dedicated pavilions. A children’s area titled Little Artisan will also introduce younger visitors to traditional techniques through interactive activities.
