Shop & Café Business Hours Extended Until 2 AM During Ramadan
Workshops within residential areas must close by 10 PM, except for those along main roads and near fuel stations.

Minister of Local Development, Manal Awad, announced that shops, restaurants, and cafés will remain open until 2 AM throughout the holy month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.
According to the ministry, delivery services will continue to operate 24/7. Workshops within residential areas must close by 10 PM, except for those along main roads and near fuel stations.
The decision aims to accommodate citizens while maintaining economic activity and public order.
The National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG) has calculated that Ramadan will begin on March 1st, 2025, in Egypt and most Arab countries. However, the official start date will be determined by Dar El-Iftaa, the authority responsible for moon sighting and religious rulings.
