Social Solidarity Ministry Launches Care Homes Registration System
The system links all care institutions with the ministry, storing birth certificates, education status and other data.
The Ministry of Social Solidarity has launched an integrated digital system to register children living in care institutions across Egypt. The database records key information for each child, including age, birth certificates and schooling status, and links the ministry to all licensed care institutions, which will enter data directly as part of a national effort to standardise and govern social-care records.
A committee led by the head of the Central Administration for Care will work on reintegrating children of known parentage into their families, alongside providing support intended to reduce the risk of children leaving their homes again. The ministry also outlined ongoing plans to improve both institutional and family-based care systems, aiming to ensure safe environments that meet children’s basic needs.
