Last night, 21-year-old Egyptian fencer Mohamed El-Sayed scored Egypt’s first Olympic medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics. After beating out Hungarian Tibor Andraszewski, El-Sayed brought home the bronze medal.
Following his success, images of the athlete’s early fencing career have been circulating the internet, including this particularly adorable one of him holding what is likely to be his first tiny fencing sword.
