Student Exchange Programme Between Egypt & Japan Begins This November

Egypt’s Ministry of Education has launched a student exchange programme to nurture cultural exchange between Egyptian and Japanese high school students. The first cohort of Egyptian students are due to be received in Japan this November, while the first cohort of Japanese students will arrive in Egypt this December.

12 Egyptian students will visit Tokyo from November 12th to the 18th, and will attend a number of high schools in the city to showcase presentations on Egyptian culture. The programme will also include tours of Tokyo’s most famous tourist attractions.

The Japanese cohort visiting Egypt in December will in turn be hosted by a number of high schools, with educational visits scheduled to a number of cultural sites in Alexandria and Cairo including the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the Giza Pyramids, the Grand Egyptian Museum and the Museum of Egyptian Civilisation.
