Supervisory Committee Established for Rashid Villages Project
A new decision sets out oversight and governance for the charitable housing and social services initiative.
A supervisory committee has been formally established to oversee the Rashid Villages initiative, setting out a governance framework for the charitable project launched in 2025.
The committee was formed under Decision No. 1 of 2026 issued by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. It is mandated to approve plans and initiatives, monitor implementation, coordinate between relevant entities, review reports and establish regulatory and operational policies.
The committee will also supervise governance standards, risk management and the allocation of resources to ensure the project’s objectives are met.
Rashid Villages was launched in 2025 to mark the tenth anniversary of the passing of Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The initiative aims to establish model villages that provide underprivileged families with access to housing, education, healthcare and social services.
The newly formed body is tasked with ensuring structured oversight as the project progresses through its implementation phase.
