Traffic Upgrades Completed Around 27 Schools in Dubai
The project included wider roads, expanded parking, and improved pedestrian infrastructure to support smoother commutes and safer school zones.

Traffic improvements have been completed around 27 schools across 10 zones in Dubai ahead of the 2025–26 academic year. The work covered areas including Al-Warqa, Al-Safa, Al-Barsha, Al-Mizhar, Al-Qusais, and Al-Garhoud, aiming to ease congestion and improve pedestrian safety in high-density school zones.
The upgrades included widening nearby roads, adding more parking for staff and parents, building new entrances and exits, and installing pedestrian signals and traffic-calming measures. According to officials, the enhancements have improved traffic flow by up to 40% and increased parking capacity by 90%.
Scheduled during the summer break to minimise disruption, the improvements are intended to make drop-offs and pick-ups safer and more efficient for students, parents, and school staff.
These works form part of a wider summer programme of traffic infrastructure upgrades across 40 locations in Dubai between June and September 2025, reflecting ongoing efforts to improve mobility and connectivity across the city.
