UAE Announces June 27th as Paid Holiday for Islamic New Year

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has officially announced that Friday, June 27th will be a paid holiday for private sector employees, in observance of the Islamic New Year.

For employees observing a Friday–Saturday weekend, the holiday creates a three-day break from June 27th to the 29th, with work scheduled to resume on Sunday, June 30th. The holiday corresponds to the beginning of the Hijri year 1447 AH.
