The platform is designed to develop methods of treatment and prevention of breast cancer, and improve the process of diagnosis. The platform will enhance the medical care of breast cancer patients by providing the necessary data to healthcare providers, thus allowing them to identify trends, provide personalised care, and improve long-term treatment plans.
The DOH also confirmed that Malafi, the first platform for exchanging medical data and research in the Middle East and North Africa region, will play a role in the initiative. Launched in 2019, its success provided a blueprint for this new platform geared towards breast cancer research.
