World’s Most Advanced Man-Made Wave Comes to Abu Dhabi This October

Surf’s up! The world’s most advanced man-made wave is about to break in Abu Dhabi, courtesy of Surf Abu Dhabi, a high-performance surfing destination set to open in October 2024.

Located on Hudayriat Island, Surf Abu Dhabi will offer tailor-made waves for all skill levels. As well as the most advanced man-made wave in the world to date, the marine destination will feature the world’s longest water ride as well as the world’s biggest barrel.

Surf Abu Dhabi is WSL-certified, guaranteeing safety standards high enough to make it fit to host professional surfing events. The surfing destination is developed by Modon, a world-class Abu Dhabi-based community and hospitality developer, in partnership with the Los Angeles-based Kelly Slater Wave Company.
