Flowing Into This Futuristic Footwear Store by Studioplus Architects

Nothing says organic design more than curvy lines, or to be more accurate, curvilinear forms that twist and curl with smooth angles. This was the approach Studioplus Architects - a Cairo-based architectural and interior design studio - went with when they designed an ambitious interior for a footwear store set to open in Marassi Marina next summer.

“The design is meant to look like it’s made out of one continuous material with a monochromatic colour palette,” Hesham El Seginy, the studio’s head of design, tells #SceneHome. El Seginy - along with head of execution, Hany Amal - led the studio to compile a stellar portfolio that offers a variety of residential and commercial projects, such as the Saudi Egyptian Developer HQ, which is quickly becoming a landmark in New Cairo.

Turning on a minimal mindset in the store, the designers created flowing forms that have a futuristic twist to them. “It’s achieved through smooth curvilinear forms from the shelves and walls, to patterns and furniture,” he adds. As for the colour palette, it features a level of transparency and neutralism that accentuates the products on display and contrasts the ambiance.
