UAE's The Fridge to Debut KSA Gig Series With Tamtam & Khaleeji Blonde

After 18 years of helping foster the UAE's music scene, Dubai-based entertainment outfit, The Fridge. is making a huge move into Saudi Arabia as part of a partnership with the Saudi Music Commission that will launch a new concert in Riyadh on December 9th at Personage Warehouse in JAX District, during Riyadh Music Week.

Known for creating powerful, intimate music through storytelling, Tamtam headlines with her globally-tuned, contemporary pop sounds, while Khaleeji Blonde opens the night with her brand of hip-hip-inspired pop, which often straddles the line between reality and fantasy.

The long-term goal of the series is to be a space for artist discovery. It grants musicians full creative control, offers a repeatable platform to develop their sound in front of a live audience and provides crucial professional support, including marketing, social media content and high-quality video footage to build their press kits.

“The introduction of The Fridge's Concert Series in Saudi Arabia represents a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to further support diverse music ecosystems and help make it more sustainable,” said Paul Pacifico, CEO of the Saudi Music Commission. “This initiative seeks not only to elevate the voices of our artists but also to inspire the entire community to resonate in musical harmony.”

Pacifico’s sentiments align with the core mission of The Fridge, which has programmed over 3,500 acts at events like Expo 2020 and contributed to Red Sea International Music Festival and XP Music. For Shelley Frost, Founder & Director of The Fridge, the mission remains the same, nearly two decades in. "We are incredibly proud to debut a concert series in Saudi Arabia,” she said. “We are creating a permanent home for artists to perform their unfiltered sound and connect with audiences who are eager to discover new music.”
