Anti-Doomscroll Stroll Club's Next Supper is All About Filipino Dishes
The Anti-Doomscroll Stroll Club's second casual supper club will bring together Chefs Zaid Khadim and Dabo for a culinary collaboration in Old Dubai.
At this Dubai supper club, your phone may not eat first. This Friday, Anti-Doomscroll Stroll Club will host its second supper at Al Seef Heritage Hotel, with guests asked to keep their phones away throughout dinner.
Chef Zaid Khadim will team up with Filipino chef Dabo, co-founder of Naima’s Restaurant, for the evening, bringing together Dubai’s Khaleeji cuisine and Filipino flavours in an intimate, screen-free setting.
The supper is an extension of Anti-Doomscroll Stroll Club, a grassroots community initiative founded by Faizal Abdul Razak. The group meets every Sunday, encouraging participants to explore Dubai’s neighbourhoods without their phones, using paper maps to find local cafés, historic landmarks and lesser-known stops.
Friday’s dinner will take place alongside ‘Karak Goes to Old Dubai’, a community event featuring regional artists, DJs and panel discussions. It follows the club’s first supper on September 6th, when Chef Zaid Khadim served a six-course meal at Ravi in Satwa.
