Egypt’s Nashwa Jewelry Drops Valentine’s Day ‘Queen B’ Collection

When it comes to Valentine’s day, Egyptian jewellery designer Nashwa Mostafa always veers away from the romantic paths often trodden. Instead, Mostafa, through her label Nashwa Jewelry, politely asks the gentlemen to gracefully exit the scene, shining the spotlight on what has become her February 14th hallmark - ‘Galentines’.

For her Valentine’s Day 2025 collection, Mostafa drew on 2000s cult-classic television show ‘Gossip Girls’ for inspiration. Titled ‘Queen B: Who’s Your Serena?’ The Nashwa Jewelry V-Day collection is all about celebrating the love that lasts: friendship. “Blair Waldorf and Serena van der Woodsen are inseparable, and that’s what I based this collection on. I want women to gift it to their best friends, crown them, and themselves,” Mostafa tells SceneStyled.

Crown them(selves) they indeed would, seeing as Nashwa Jewelry’s V-Day collection introduces a whole new category of accessories to the brand’s oeuvre: headpieces. Made from sterling silver, the headpieces are the crowning jewel of the collection. Yet, beyond the shimmering tiaras, the collection showcases a new approach for the Egyptian brand, offering for the very first time multicoloured rings, necklaces and bracelets.

“It’s a bit out of the box, but I just thought, why not include different colours in one piece?” Mostafa explains. “I usually go for sleek, but this time, I'm all about playfulness.” While the collection is indeed playful, it is certainly not meant to be confined to casual attire. “Everything I design is meant to be multifunctional. Even the headpieces, you can wear those to brunch, a party, or even a wedding,” Mostafa notes.
