Flynas Launches Direct Flights From Madinah to Cairo’s Sphinx Airport

flynas, Saudi Arabia’s leading low-cost carrier, has launched a new route connecting Madinah’s Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport (MED) to Cairo’s Giza Sphinx International Airport (SPX). The route operates three times weekly on Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

The inaugural flight, XY954, departed Madinah at 07:19, arriving in Cairo at 08:51 after a two-hour 32-minute journey aboard an Airbus A320neo. The return flight departed SPX at 10:06, reaching Madinah at 12:33 before continuing to Dubai International Airport (DXB).

This expansion supports flynas’ goal of reaching 165 destinations by 2030, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030. Its current fleet includes 61 Airbus jets: four A320-200s, 53 A320neos, and four A330-300s, with additional orders for 56 A320neos and ten A321XLRs.

The new route strengthens flynas’ regional network, which includes destinations such as Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, Amman, Jeddah, Riyadh and Karachi.
