This UNESCO Site in Saudi Is Getting Three Luxury Resorts
Tuaja Luxury Resorts will focus on integrating agriculture, eco-tourism, and adventure travel.
Since all good (hospitality) things come in threes, Saudi Arabia is getting a brand-new trio of resorts focused on agriculture, eco-tourism, and adventure travel—Tuaja Luxury Resorts.
Launched by Dan Company, a subsidiary of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), the new resorts aim to highlight the Kingdom’s diverse landscapes and cultural heritage, all while putting emphasis on sustainability.
Tuaja Luxury Resorts will include Premium Farm Resort, which will offer farm-to-table dining and agricultural activities, Eco Resort, designed as a tranquil retreat with a focus on environmental preservation, and Adventure Resort, providing outdoor activities tailored to the unique features of each location.
The first Tuaja Luxury Resorts will open in Al-Ahsa, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its date palm oasis, the largest of its kind globally. The 1.8 million square meter development in the Eastern Province seeks to establish Al-Ahsa as a destination for farm-based tourism.
With plans to expand to multiple cities by 2030, each Tuaja resort will reflect the cultural and natural identity of its host region, providing wanderers with even more enticing stays to explore in Saudi.
