PepsiCo Greenhouse Accelerator Comes to MENA
Through grants, mentorship and opportunities the accelerator will nurture the new generation of entrepreneurs and startups dedicated to promoting sustainable practices around the world.
As part of PepsiCo’s new global strategy geared at mitigating the effects of climate change, the American multinational beverage corporation has partnered with the UAE’s Ministry of Climate Change to launch the PepsiCo Greenhouse Accelerator: MENA Sustainability Edition. Through grants, mentorship and opportunities the accelerator will nurture the new generation of entrepreneurs and startups dedicated to promoting sustainable practices around the world.
The six-month accelerator will shine a spotlight on new and innovative technologies, products and services that reduce food and beverage packaging waste. This aligns with PepsiCo’s recently launched pep+ global strategy that aims to recycle 100% of its plastic waste by 2025.
Ten MENA-based startups and entrepreneurs will be selected for the accelerator with a kick start grant and access to PepsiCo’s mentorship team to develop their sustainability-driven ideas. The winning startup will be awarded $100K to help develop and scale its innovation.
