Grand Prix Figure Skating Tournament Makes UAE Debut in Abu Dhabi
Organised by the International Skating Union in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, the championship will feature more than 90 skaters from over 30 countries.

The 2025 Junior Grand Prix Figure Skating Championship is coming to the UAE for the first time, with Abu Dhabi set to host the international tournament at the Abu Dhabi Ice Rink from October 8th to the 11th.
Organised by the International Skating Union in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, the championship will feature more than 90 skaters from over 30 countries competing across men’s singles, women’s singles, and pairs categories.
The event represents a significant milestone for the UAE’s growing winter sports landscape, highlighting its expanding capacity to host world-class competitions and nurture local talent. This year’s Junior Grand Prix includes five global rounds, with Abu Dhabi serving as the penultimate stage before the final.
