AI-Powered Qur’an Learning Platform Launches in Makkah
Al-Maqraa platform offers Qur’anic education in 10 languages including Arabic, English, Urdu, Indonesian, Malay and Hausa.

Al-Maqraa, a religious education platform, has been launched in Makkah, offering Qur’anic education in 10 languages. The initiative, developed by the Presidency of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, integrates artificial intelligence with modern teaching methods to enhance recitation, tajweed (proper pronunciation) and memorisation.
The platform is available globally online and supports Arabic, English, Urdu, Indonesian, Malay, Hausa, and other languages. It offers supervised instruction from certified teachers, allowing students to correct their recitation, master tajweed, and engage in post-memorisation review.
Al-Maqraa includes a Shariah-compliant administrative system for monitoring Qur’anic study circles, issuing detailed analytical reports, and providing flexible enrollment options. Participants can also obtain Sanad (chain of narration) certifications in 10 recognised Qur’anic readings.
