Developed in-house at the Al-Azhar printing center, the production process took many trials involving different thickness of papers to accommodate the prominent dots and enable easy reading for people with visual impairments.
The first ‘trial’ copy of this Quran is currently on display in Al-Azhar’s pavilion at the 53rd Cairo International Book Fair. The copy contains both Arabic script and braille, in order to support a more cooperative society.
