Alexandria Museums & Sites Free to Visit on Thursday July 24th
To celebrate Alexandria's national day, entry will be free on July 24 to several museums and archaeological sites across the city, as part of a wider push to promote cultural awareness.

Entry to all archaeological sites and major museums in Alexandria will be free of charge on Thursday, July 24th in celebration of Alexandria National Day. The initiative, announced by the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, includes access to prominent institutions such as the Graeco-Roman Museum, the Royal Jewelry Museum, and the Alexandria National Museum.
The decision is part of a broader effort by the ministry to participate in national, cultural, and local events, and to promote greater public engagement with Egypt’s heritage. The initiative aims to spotlight events that reflect the country’s historical and cultural depth, while raising archaeological and tourism awareness, particularly among younger generations. The initiative is also part of a wider push to boost domestic tourism and support Alexandria’s tourism activity during the summer months.
