Campaign Promoting Tourism in Egypt Launched in Premier League Matches

The Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities has launched a new campaign promoting tourism in Egypt during the English Premier League 2023/2024 season.

The campaign - which highlights Marsa Alam, New Alamein, and ancient icons such as the Temple of Abu Simbel in Aswan - will be displayed for a minimum of two minutes in each game on LED perimeter display boards that run alongside pitches all over England, from Newcastle to Bournemouth.

The Premier League is by far the most watched football league in the world and is amongst the highest sporting events in terms of viewership. During the 2022/2023 season, the Premier League had 3.1 million viewers per match according to the Broadcasters’ Audience Research Board.

Who knows? Maybe Mo Salah gets his ‘Messi - GOAT Advertisement’ moment and scores a solo goal with ‘Experience Egypt’ in the background.
