Digital Birth Certificate for Emiratis & Residents Introduced in Dubai
The Dubai Health Authority aims to streamline the issuance of birth certificates through a fully digital process.

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has introduced a fully digital system for issuing birth certificates to Emiratis and residents, allowing parents to obtain official birth documents in Arabic, English, and Urdu without visiting a customer service centre.
Under the new system, hospitals in Dubai will submit birth notifications and required documents electronically. Parents can then complete their application via the DHA website, select the number of copies needed, and make payments online. Birth certificates are issued within one working day and delivered via email or phone. For those requiring physical copies, a courier service is available.
In addition to new birth certificates, parents can also request additional copies or replacements for lost ones through the online platform. While the process is primarily digital, in-person assistance remains available at DHA customer service centres for exceptional cases.
To support parents, the DHA has also launched a dedicated helpline via 800 DHA for birth certificate inquiries, reinforcing its commitment to providing seamless and secure digital solutions.
