Doctors Are Now Obliged to Disclose Reasons for C-Section Births
The Ministry of Health and Population is taking measures to ensure unnecessary Caesarean births are circumvented.

The Ministry of Health and Population is currently taking measures to reduce the reliance on C-section births. A ministry spokesperson revealed that there has been a significant increase in the reliance on caesarean births, from 52% in 2014 to 70% in 2021. Among the measures that the ministry is planning to take is to oblige doctors to provide a list of the medical reasons to resort to caesarean sections. Hospital records will be monitored in order to keep count of the amount of operations taking place. The ministry notes that there is a discrepancy in the prices of natural childbirth and caesarean section, with a one and a half price increase when it comes to c-section operations.
