Dubai Future Foundation Launches Research & Development Ecosystem

The Dubai Future Foundation established a unified Research Development and Innovation Ecosystem to accelerate innovation strengthen global partnerships and consolidate research regulation and advanced technology development under one framework in Dubai. The integrated platform is designed to support government and private sector entities in developing ideas supported by advanced technologies and future oriented applications. The ecosystem will serve as a single platform bringing together existing and future innovation initiatives across Dubai and steering the work of research institutions including Dubai Future Labs and the MIT Senseable City Lab in Dubai. It will also advance national initiatives such as Dubai Research Development and Innovation and the Dubai Robotics and Automation Program. Regulatory innovation will be delivered through Sandbox Dubai in partnership with government entities legislators and international companies to support innovation friendly regulation and accelerate testing and deployment of new technologies. The ecosystem will include the Dubai Research Development and Innovation Grant Initiative to empower projects foster scientific discovery and accelerate solutions to future challenges while strengthening partnerships with universities research centres and academic institutions worldwide.
