Egyptian Drug Authority Unveils Free 24/7 Drug Availability Service

A new electronic service has been introduced to help users locate medicines available at pharmacies across Egypt, reducing the need to search multiple locations for specific treatments.

The service, named “Availability of Medicines,” is provided by the Egyptian Drug Authority and allows users to search for medicines using either brand or scientific names.

Once a request is submitted through the platform, users receive details of available locations via text message or email, enabling them to identify where medicines are in stock.

The service is accessible through a dedicated online portal and operates free of charge, with availability around the clock to provide information at any time.

According to the authority, the initiative responds to increased demand for certain medicines and aims to improve access to accurate pharmaceutical information.
