Former Head of Musicians Syndicate Hany Shaker to Star in New Series
Having dedicated most of his career to singing, the former Head of Musicians Syndicate is making his acting comeback.
Veteran Egyptian singer and former head of the Musicians’ Syndicate Hany Shaker announced his comeback to acting with a new television series. The series is currently in development, with Shaker and the writer, Ayman Moussa, collaborating to finalise the script.
The artist is best known for his romantic hit songs - cue ‘Eidmilad Garhy Ana’ - yet acting has been on the horizon for him since the beginning of his career. Shaker’s acting debut was in 1966 in ‘Sayed Darwish’, where he played the role of young renowned singer Sayed Darwish. Later on, he starred in ‘Indama Yughanni al Hobb’ (1973) and ‘I Love This, I Want That’ (1975).
