Ministry of Energy Announces Plans to Export Uranium & Minerals

Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman has announced plans to grow the country’s nuclear program as part of a plan to diversify its energy sources. The plan includes enriching uranium and producing yellowcake, a material used to make nuclear fuel, with the goal of selling these resources worldwide. 

To support its nuclear expansion, Saudi Arabia plans to move to more regular and thorough inspections of its nuclear facilities by the UN atomic watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
