US space agency NASA has shared images of flooded areas in the UAE following last week's torrential rain, caused by a slow-moving storm system that brought a year's worth of rainfall to many regions in the country. The UAE received 6.04 billion cubic metres of rain, close to its annual total.
The images captured by NASA’s Landsat 9 satellite include a submerged Sheikh Zayed Road, as well as flooding in Khalifa City and Zayed City.
