Road & Transport Projects Underway to Improve Access to Qiddiya City

Qiddiya Investment Company is ramping up efforts to improve access to Qiddiya City through a series of road and public transport projects in collaboration with the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC).

Key developments include a new road linking Al Taif Road to Qiddiya, widening of Al Taif and Prince Mishal Roads, and lane expansions on Jeddah Road and the Second Southern Ring Road. Public transport enhancements will see frequent bus services from four areas of Riyadh and integration with the proposed Riyadh Metro Line 7, which will pass through Qiddiya’s upper and lower plateaus.

A high-speed rail linking King Khalid International Airport, the King Abdulaziz Financial District, and Qiddiya is also in the pipeline. Complementing these efforts, the RCRC is advancing major northern Riyadh infrastructure, including the Uthman ibn Affan and King Abdulaziz roads, designed to handle hundreds of thousands of vehicles daily.

The upgrades are part of Qiddiya’s broader strategy to enhance visitor access and reduce congestion, supporting its growth as a major entertainment and cultural destination while improving connectivity across Riyadh.
