SAMENA Leaders’ Summit 2026 Set for April 1st in Dubai
The SAMENA Leaders’ Summit will take place in Dubai on April 1st, focusing on AI, spectrum and networks.
The SAMENA Telecommunications Council will host its Leaders’ Summit 2026 on April 1st at Atlantis The Palm, under the patronage of the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority and in collaboration with Huawei.
The Council confirmed the original date following consultations with UAE-based stakeholders and the wider SAMENA community, positioning the event as the first regional leadership dialogue after Eid Al Fitr.
Held under the theme ‘Intelligent Networks for Sovereign & Sustainable Futures,’ the summit will focus on policy discussions around the 6 GHz spectrum band and preparations for the World Radiocommunication Conference 2027, highlighting spectrum as a key enabler of future connectivity.
The agenda will also address the deployment of artificial intelligence across networks and industries, alongside telecom operator transformation strategies, including data-driven monetisation models, platform development and differentiated service offerings.
Discussions will extend to hybrid connectivity models integrating terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks, as well as the role of space infrastructure, with additional focus on space sustainability and orbital governance.
Further sessions will explore infrastructure protection, network resilience and continuity planning, reflecting the interdependence between cloud systems, data centres, terrestrial networks and satellite infrastructure.
