Sharjah Police Roll Out New School Traffic Safety Measures
Ahead of the 2025–26 academic year, Sharjah Police will deploy 98 patrols, introduce a mobile operations room and integrate live school bus tracking to streamline traffic and enhance student safety.

Sharjah Police have introduced new measures to reduce congestion and improve safety around schools as the 2025–26 academic year begins. From September, a mobile operations room will monitor traffic near schools in real time, linking with the Ma’man platform to manage emergency calls and track school-bus routes from morning pick-up to afternoon drop-off.
98 traffic patrols will be deployed across the emirate, including 51 in Sharjah City, 25 in the Eastern Region, and 22 in the Central Region, to cover busy intersections and high-traffic areas. School bus drivers must carry out post-trip checks to ensure no child is left on board, while community patrols will work with schools to report hazards and encourage safe conduct.
Public awareness campaigns will run across traditional and digital media, using videos and interactive ads aimed at all student age groups. The initiative also calls for community participation to support a safe and smooth start to the school year.
