Some Supermarkets in Dubai Limit Fruit & Vegetable Purchases
The move comes as retailers manage buying patterns during a period of heightened tensions
Several supermarkets in Dubai have begun limiting fruit and vegetable purchases, issuing notices that cap quantities at 2–3 kg per item per customer amid the ongoing regional situation.
The move comes as retailers manage buying patterns during a period of heightened tensions. Earlier, Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism, said the United Arab Emirates holds strategic food reserves sufficient for four to six months, stressing that supplies remain stable and markets are being monitored daily.
Officials have also cautioned that panic buying can create artificial shocks to supply chains, despite adequate stock levels.
