Tunisian heartthrob Dhafer L’Abidine has announced his directorial debut with new feature-length film ‘Ghodwa’, with help from Egyptian filmmaker Ahmed Amer. In an effort to make the rest of us look like under-achievers, L’Abidine will also co-write, produce and star in the Tunisian production, which follows a tearful reconciliation between father and son after the dad falls ill.
L’Abidine recently took part in Netflix show The Eddy directed by Oscar-winning director Damien Chazel, and stole the spotlight in hit drama series ‘Arous Beirut’. No word yet on when shooting is meant to start on his new project, but we’re wide-eyed and waiting.
