Magdi Yacoub Global Heart Centre to Be Completed in 2025
Rising near the Pyramids, the Norman Foster design combines cutting-edge facilities with natural landscapes.
The Magdi Yacoub Global Heart Centre Cairo, designed by the acclaimed architecture firm Foster + Partners, is set to open its doors in 2025.
The hospital, which will stand as Sir Norman Foster’s only building in Egypt, will provide a vital, world-class facility for cardiovascular care in the region, embodying a design philosophy that brings together innovative healthcare solutions with sustainability and patient-centred comfort.
In the shadow of the Pyramids of Giza, the ambitious project will offer 300 beds, catering to diverse needs of patients while prioritising accessibility for those from underserved communities.
Carefully arranged to streamline diagnosis, emergency services, and outpatient clinics, the layout is designed to support every step of the patient journey. Interspersed courtyards bring in natural light and offer serene moments, reinforcing a calm and uplifting atmosphere.
Once completed, the Magdi Yacoub Global Heart Centre Cairo will reimagine what a hospital can be: a space where advanced healthcare meets Egypt’s timeless heritage, offering a healing environment that feels as expansive as the landscapes that surround it.
