An Avian Lover’s Paradise: Boomah Owl Cafe

Bird lovers all over the UAE are able to indulge their warmest, cuddliest dreams at Abu Dhabi’s Boomah Owl Cafe, a haven for those inclined to drink their coffee surrounded by some of the most sagely avians around. 

As the Middle East’s first owl cafe, a concept which originally gained popularity in Japan, Boomah allows guests to pet the animals under the supervision of trained professionals. For a small sum of AED 70, spectators can even get up close and personal with the birds beneath their glass protective coverings. 

The cafe is open for eight hours daily from 2 PM to 10 PM, so the nocturnal birds can sleep when it’s most natural for them.
