Sandbox Selects Announces Lineup for Second Cairo Showcase Nov 12
The party will be headlined by German house maverick Dixon along with Brooklyn-based DJ/producer Julya Karma.
After announcing its Cairo homecoming with a showcase headlined by Ben UFO and Traumer, Sandbox Selects - the independent events series of Egypt’s Sandbox Festival - has revealed the lineup for its second Cairo showcase, set to take place on November 12th.
Taking over a warehouse at District 5, the second instalment will be headlined by Dixon, the German DJ and producer behind Berlin-based label Innervisions. A defining figure in the global electronic music circuit, Dixon has carved out a distinctive sound spanning deep house, melodic techno and electronica, delivering immersive sets built around emotive vocals, intricate progressions and slow-burning builds.
Joining him is Brooklyn-based DJ and producer Julya Karma, whose sound draws on an eclectic mix of classical piano, indie and psychedelic rock, and traditional Middle Eastern music, weaving these influences into melodic house and progressive rhythms.
The lineup also features German-Egyptian DJ and producer Mirshak, known for his groove-driven blend of Afro house, melodic house and techno, alongside Cairo-based selector Foutchy.
