The fifth edition of Vortex’s Open Air Festival was a spectacular audio-visual experience that brought 19 regional and international DJs together across two stages at the scenic Bisharat Golf Club in Amman, Jordan.
Before the night came alive with hard-hitting techno, house, and minimal selections from the likes of Vortex founder Amro Malhas, resident Vortex DJ Oun Jweinat, Yellowtape’s Nour Fahmy and Mira, and Outcast Torino’s Denaila, Bakked, and Munir Nader, SceneNoise spoke with the event organizers about their experience with Amman’s strenuous music scene, and how they took matters into their own hands by carving out a space for themselves in the industry through their restless determination.
