Ministry of Education Launches Online Portal for Public School Fees
Parents of students in public schools can pay their children’s school fees via KlickIt starting from the current 2021/2022 academic year using debit or credit cards.
In collaboration with digital payment platform KlickIt, Egypt’s Ministry of Education has launched an electronic payment service for public school fees across the country.
The move comes as part of Egypt’s commitment towards digital transformation and as part of its initiative to facilitate the provision of government services to citizens. Parents of students in public schools can pay their children’s school fees via the electronic platform starting from the current 2021/2022 academic year using debit or credit cards.
The online service was first used for Thanaweya Amma grade appeals fee collection, where thousands of students successfully paid their fees online using their debit and credit cards. KlickIt is currently used by over 55,000 educational institutions, including schools and nurseries, with more than EGP 500 million of successfully processed payment transactions.
