Approval Time for Yachts Sailing Into Egypt is Now Faster Than Ever
Instead of waiting 15 to 30 days, a new government website will reduce the approval time for foreign yachts to 30 minutes.
The Ministry of Transport announced the launch of a new digital platform, which aims to reduce the approval duration for foreign yachts entering Egyptian ports. Instead of 15 to 30 days, sailing enthusiasts will now only need to wait 30 minutes to get their approval and raise their anchors.
The announcement was made as a part of the state’s ongoing efforts to enhance yacht tourism in Egypt by simplifying entry protocols for visiting foreign vessels. The new website will allow visiting foreign yacht owners to efficiently submit the required documents detailing their yacht specifications, outlining their trip’s itineraries, and the designated port of arrival.
