Finalists of ADMAF x Dolce & Gabbana Design Award 2024 Announced
The objective of this award is to provide young designers in various design categories the chance to participate in an internship program at Dolce & Gabbana's headquarters in Italy.
The Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation (ADMAF), one of the earliest cultural and artistic organisations in the Arab world, has joined forces with luxury fashion brand Dolce & Gabbana to announce the finalists of the ADMAF x Dolce & Gabbana Design Award 2024.
The ADMAF x Dolce&Gabbana Design Award 2024 was open to current and recently graduated university students from the UAE. Its main objective is to nurture the talent of young creatives while paying homage to their heritage through design. The finalists for the fashion category are Azza Rashed Al Suwaidi, Maryam Omar Bin Ghaleb Alfalasi, and Muna Saqer AlMatrooshi. In the jewellery category, Sarah AlMansoori, Muhra Darwish AlBlooshi, and Alia Alzaabi have been recognized for their creations.
The jury responsible for selecting the winners and finalists consists of internationally renowned personalities in the fashion and design industry, such as Stefano Galli, Alta Moda Senior VIP relations of Dolce&Gabbana, Asma Al Fahim, Chairwoman of Abu Dhabi Businesswomen Council and founder of Villa 88 magazine, and Roberto La Lacona, Director of Marangoni Institute UAE. They are joined by esteemed Emirati artists Azza al Qubaisi, Ahmad Al Areef Al Dhaheri, and Sultan al Darmaki. H.E. Huda Alkhamis-Kanoo, the ADMAF Founder, and representatives from Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda complete the panel.
This award offers winners an internship program at Dolce & Gabbana's headquarters in Italy. The winners of each category will have the opportunity to enhance their skills and bring their designs to life through the program. This experience will provide them with the necessary guidance and mentorship to develop and realise their finished products. The designs will then be showcased to the public during the Abu Dhabi Festival in 2025, allowing the winners to gain exposure. The Abu Dhabi Festival is an annual festival, renowned for commissioning, producing, conserving, and showcasing exceptional music and art.
