UAE-Based Hamda Al Fahim Crafts an Ode To Nature in SS24 Collection

UAE-based designer Hamid Al Fahim releases his SS'24 Couture collection, poetically inspired by nature's symphony, and aptly named 'Earthly'.
Each piece is a sonnet, a heartfelt verse celebrating nature's beauty, like stepping into a world painted in earthy hues, where dresses echo the whisper-softness of sand dunes, juxtaposed by the stoic strength of ancient stone. The palette sings in shades of gold, brown, and rose gold, adorned with delicate tassels and shimmering gems, and shot against a stunning rocky canyon. "Crafting ‘Earthly’ has been nothing short of a poetic journey guided by the whispers of the natural world," Al Fahim says. "As the world awakens to the rhythm of change, I too have felt a profound transformation intertwined with the earth’s essence."
The artistry behind Al Fahim’s vision is reflected in each of the 13 looks released so far. ‘Look 13’ is a vision of the golden expanse of a desert stretching towards the horizon, while ‘Look 1- Tasseled Dunes’ is a glittering gown adorned with cascading tassels, reminiscent of wind-rippled sand. For ‘Look 2 - Velvet Canyon’ and ‘Look 11- Evergreen’, imagine the rich, textured depths of a hidden canyon translated into a luxurious brown and a hunter green velvet dress, murmuring secrets of the earth's ancient heart. As Al Fahim writes on his social media, “Every leaf, and every breeze tells a story of boundless beauty and inspiration.”
‘Look 8- Dusty Miller’ is the picture of the delicate bloom of a desert rose, its fragile beauty blooming amidst the harsh landscape, and similarly encompassing flowers. ‘Look 3 - Desert Rose’ is embodied in a dress adorned in soft hues and shimmering embellishments, including gorgeous flower motifs in the form of straps. Like a mermaid’s tail, the fitted bodice and silhouette are reminiscent of the aquatic creature’s scales dripping out of the water. The most recent look released, ‘Look 4 - Golden Hour’, is a final kiss captured in a gown of shimmering gold, radiating warmth and hope, like basking in the warm glow of the sun setting over the desert. The draping in looks ‘9’ and ‘12’ prove Al Fahim’s technical skills, besides his artistic vision.
