Sharjah Approves Historic AED 42B Budget to Boost Living Standards
Sharjah’s AED 42B budget emphasizes social welfare, infrastructure, and financial sustainability for 2025 and beyond.
The government of Sharjah has announced a historic budget of AED 42 billion for 2025, marking the largest in the Emirate’s history.
Approved by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the budget focuses on strategic sectors such as infrastructure, social development, and economic growth. Infrastructure projects take the lion's share, constituting 41% of the total allocation, reflecting a 7% increase from 2024. This will support sustainable development and attract foreign and local investment.
The budget also emphasises enhancing social welfare, providing adequate housing, and creating job opportunities for citizens. It includes initiatives to modernise digital financial systems and foster public-private partnerships.
