Red Cross & American Heart Association to Train Egypt’s Paramedics
Egypt’s critical care service sector is set to undergo a series of industry-changing upgrades and developments including intensive training by international organizations.
As part of a nationwide effort to upgrade the emergency response system throughout the country, the International Red Cross and the American Heart Association (AHA) have teamed up with the Egyptian Ministry of Health to provide and approve all training programs for paramedics and emergency doctors in the Egyptian Ambulance and Critical Care Authority.
The decision comes as part of a new training system that requires all emergency critical care directors in Egypt to enroll into the Egyptian Fellowship of Emergency Medicine and Critical Care. The fellowship will facilitate the new training with help of the Red Cross and AHA. The ministry also announced a series of infrastructural upgrades within this new system including the redevelopment of main roads leading to hospitals.
