Sohag University’s stroke care unit has won the Gold Award from the World Stroke Organization, the only global body that solely focuses on strokes. The award is a reflection of the high-quality services provided to patients at the unit, which closely follows the global standards set by the World Stroke Organization.
The intensive care unit for stroke patients has been operating for two years, serving patients with brain hemorrhage and stroke through all of Sohag. Sohag University’s unit receives one to 10 cases per day, and provides them with the most advanced and time-sensitive treatment available to patients in critical condition.
