Medrar is Looking for Art Projects That Exemplify Women's Empowerment
The Lab is a five-week online creative exchange with artist talks, workshops, project developments, virtual exhibits and sustainability meetings, all of which will take place throughout June and July.

ZERO1, the U.S. Embassy, and Medrar have all come together to launch ‘Creative Impact Lab Cairo’, a new project that invites up-and-coming digital artists to sign up and address women’s issues head on.
The Lab is a five-week online creative exchange with artist talks, workshops, project developments, panel reviews, virtual exhibits and sustainability meetings, all of which will take place throughout June and July.
Led by artist Katherine Behar, known for her digital work on gender and labour, the programme is looking for Egyptian artists above the age of 18 who have an interest in new media and digital art, and have a desire to marry that with their passion for women’s empowerment.
It’s completely free to participate in the lab, in fact, those who take part will receive a stipend at the end of the project.
