New Electronic Tests Will Be Trialled on 'Thanaweya Amma' Students
This trial run will help ensure that the actual secondary school exams will run cleanly, without any issues with schools' WiFi capabilities or their servers.
After announcing that Egypt's official 'Thanaweya Amma' secondary school exams will - for the first time - be held online this year, the Ministry of Education has decided to host three online mock exams for students as a trial run, in order to reduce any possible problems they could face.
The official secondary school exams will only include true or false or multiple choice questions, doing away with essay questions entirely. The first online mock exam was done this week, with the following two yet to be scheduled. They will be testing for WiFi capabilities at schools and other potential technical difficulties on their server, in the hopes of optimizing their system well before the final exams.
