The Egyptian government is planning to amp up its electrical output to the North Coast by 50%.
An estimated 1,015 MV is expected to be added to North Coast’s existing output, followed by an additional 170 MV which will be exported to Libya.
The government aims to increase exchange volumes within the electrical lines between Egypt and Libya, as a stepping stone in the overall plan to connect all North African countries, and to position Egypt as a central hub for electrical energy within the region.
